From this year, CRMC rules allow the use of wet tyres for the first time on some post classic machines. Here we take a look at the rules in more detail.
Rain tyres are not permitted for use on any classic solos or sidecars, so it is only the following post-classic classes that can use tyres that are designated wet. Machines using wet tyres must also fit a rain light, which has to be switched on in wet races:

These classes will be scheduled to race together throughout the 2024 season:
8a, 8k, 8p MotoSuperbike, Superstock 750cc, Superbike 750cc (W)
8m, 8n, 8t Superstock 400cc, Supersport 400cc, Supersport 600cc (W)

It will also be required that all machines that are eligible and entered to race in the ACU Post Classic 750cc have a rain light fitted:
10b ACU Post Classic (W)

and our Guest Club, Supermono GB:
10c National Supermono Championship (W)
12a SupermonoGB (W)

You will notice on the Timetable recently published for Pembrey that there is a "W" against the races that allow the use of wet tyres. This will naturally require that all machines have a rain light fitted, which will be checked in technical control. The Clerk of the Course will instruct that rain lights will be switched on for wet races.

We will show a W on timetables for all races that can use wets in the future.
