An Introduction to what we doWhat we do is have a lot of Fun, Racing Classic Bikes and Sidecars at some of the best circuits in the UK.

Classic Sidecar ChampionshipsDon't imagine for one minute that Classic Motorcycle Racing is Boring - you just have to check out some of our Lap Times to see that the Racing is just as 'Fast and Furious' as almost any of the Modern Bike Race Meetings.

Below is a short film which gives a little insight into what goes on at our meetings. Filmed in 2009 at the Cadwell Park "Race of the Year" Meeting by Jono Yardley. Watch out for the battle between the legendry Guy Martin and our very own Lea Gourlay.

DONINGTON UPDATE. 22nd July

Robert Fearnall the circuit manager called me on Thursday 8th July to inform me that all is going to plan for our meeting in August.

The tarmac contractors had to leave site on the Monday to repair track problems at Silverstone for the F1 but were to be back on site by the end of the week.

The CRMC will be admitted to the circuit on Thursday 12th August at lunchtime to prepare for the meeting starting at 09.00 on Friday.

Final instructions will be going out at the end of July. If you have booked a garage you will receive a Paddock A pass, paddock B passes will be issued for the main paddock. Please do not use the grass area on the left just inside the barrier as that is reserved for marshal’s camping. Another area will be reserved outside the media centre for a bike display including Honda 6. Trophy presentation for Friday and Saturday events will be in the media centre on Saturday evening followed by a band. Please bring your own liquid refreshments.

Please note that some are under the impression that the entry fee has increased which it has but it is for FOUR races as requested by many riders. For the last 2 years we could only run 3 races due to time constraints but this year we have 3 full days to ourselves.

The Norton Rotary factory bikes will be there along with Chris Walker who is also their sales manager.

Entries are coming in fast so make sure you do not miss out.

THE CRMC WILL BE ESTABLISHING ALL RACE AND LAP RECORDS!

Some people still do not seem to believe that Donington will happen. We have no reason to believe that the meeting will not go ahead. However, should there be some unforeseen problem (as could happen anywhere) and the meeting does not run all riders will receive a FULL refund.

Roger Bryant.

Chairman CRMC Ltd.

Help Wanted

We are looking for some part time volunteers to help out in the race office at our meetings, If you can spare just a couple of hours on either the Friday, Saturday or Sunday your help would be much appreciated.

Roles include issuing Transponders, passing out Trophies, Photocopying Race Results and so on. You can give your time at any stage of a weekend and if all you can spare is a couple of hours then we would be extremely grateful. So if your partner is bored or you have time between races come and join us in the Race Office, we don't bite, there's usually free tea and coffee floating around and we seem to get given lots of cake and sometimes chocolates too....

For more info contact Sally Russell by email sally.russell@crmc.co.uk or give Sally a call on 01953 850677

Note from Webmaster

Hi and welcome to the New CRMC Website, The new site brings a whole new set of features and will be updated on a regular basis (so check back often) The site has more graphical content (photo's and videos) along with many online features such as an electronic payment system to make either joining the club or renewing your membership easier and quicker.

The site will be in continuous development during 2010 and we welcome your feedback and ideas for future content. I will be attending all CRMC race meetings so if you would like a chat then ask any of the CRMC officials and they'll point me out to you.

You can view, download and print information on future race meetings as well as Championship Standings (these will usually be uploaded 2 - 3 days after each race weekend) Race results are provided by MyLaps.com which can be viewed on their website around 24 hours after a race meeting.

The site is designed and optimised for a reasonably modern PC but should work on a minimum setting of 1024 x 768 screen resolution using Internet Explorer 7 and ideally viewed on a wide screen. If however you are experiencing problems then please email me at webmaster@crmc.co.uk and I will do my best to help you enjoy our new website.

John Mitchell (Webmaster)
