Bob Mallett passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday February 4th at home aged 83.
He had been diagnosed with leukaemia and was told he had the worse form of it on his birthday last September and given 6 months to live. Unfortunately, he didn't make the 6 months.
Although many CRMC members may not have met him, many will have benefitted from his skills as he was the engraver of the prestigious Race of the Year trophies for many years.
He wasn't religious and therefore didn't want a funeral, so it will be a private cremation. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his daughters Lynn and our Chief Marshal Ann.
Our thoughts and condolences go to all the family at this sad time.
