The Race Circuit activity at both Pembrey and Anglesey comes under Welsh Government legislation that is different to the English Government legislation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
The current situation is that the Welsh Government are trialling three post-lockdown sporting events at this time:
1. A limited car race meeting that was held at Anglesey last weekend and organised by the 750 Motor Club.
2. A Duathlon in the Pembrey Country Park held on the 6th Sept.
3. A BARC Car meeting at Pembrey was scheduled for next weekend, but cancelled as the timescales were too tight (full details are on the Pembrey website).
Both the Anglesey and Duathlon events were officially monitored and went well, but with the cancellation of the BARC event, the CRMC meeting will become the Welsh Government test event at Pembrey in two weeks time.
The next 21 day review of the Covid situation by the Welsh Government is due to be published on Friday and confirm the details above.
The lockdown of Caerphilly County announced by the Welsh Government this morning (8th September 2020) is not expected to affect the Pembrey region.
We plan to announce the Pembrey timetable tomorrow (9th Sept), followed by a further update and the final instructions for the meeting by the weekend.
