This year the marshals training day moves to Mallory Park in Leicestershire on Sunday, 18th February 2018.
Please note the change of venue, not now at Donington Park
This day is for both experienced marshals and also novices who haven't marshaled before and want to get involved. There will also be a Technical Officials (aka scrutineers!) seminar.
Come along and find out more
This year we are going to the popular Mallory Park circuit, near Leicester, which is easy to reach from major trunk roads and motorways.
Who is the marshals training day for?
The short answer is everyone, all are welcome!
Experienced marshals - there will be seminars and discussions for senior sector marshals, covering everything from radio protocol to flagging, bike recovery, health and safety, dealing with fire, spillages and much more.
Novice marshals - find out a little more about what marshals do, what you need to bring, what time you need to arrive and what you'll do at a race meeting. Feel free to come along, ask questions and get involved - we'll make you welcome! And unlike some race clubs, the CRMC pay a contribution towards travel expenses!
Technical Officials (scrutineers) - Chief Scrutineer Gordon Thorpe is also staging the annual seminar for the team. If you are interested in this, please contact Gordon Thorpe
There will be a lunch provided by the (excellent!) Mallory Park cafe
Arrival at Mallory Park:
There is a car track day on the circuit, so there will not be any vehicle access to the inner circuit after 9:00am, but you can park in the outer car park and walk over the footbridge into the paddock. We intend to start the marshal training day at 09:30am, once everyone has arrived.
