We're receiving more applications for bikes with this type of wavy disc, which apart from not being eligible are unlikely to pass scrutineering
Eligibility of Brakes & Components
We're busy getting ready for the start of the CRMC racing season and our busy eligibility team are receiving many new eligibility applications and are always really pleased to help with any queries. But we are seeing more applications for post classic bikes with wavy discs.
Some moderately ‘Wavy’ discs (as some period Kawasaki) may be acceptable, but grossly slotted or wavy discs of this type are not eligible. Indeed, they are likely to fail technical scrutineering anyway.
Also, can we remind everyone that ‘Radial’ type master cylinders are not permitted for either brake or clutch.
If in doubt, please get in touch with the Eligibility officer for your class of machine: John Davidson for Classics (pre-1972), Andy Pike for Post Classics (post-1972 and pre-1994) and Steve Reilly for sidecars. Contact details are on the Contacts Page.
