As you are most likely already aware this CRMC race meeting has had to be called off due to reasons beyond the control of the CRMC.
In order to run a meeting in the current challenging conditions many problems have to be solved. During the lead up time we were presented with a number of such problems over and above the normal construction of a race meeting, all of which were successfully resolved. This has put a huge extra burden on the Team who put race meetings together.
We had great support from CRMC members with a great entry for all classes and also great support from marshals and officials. Alas it was not to be and permission to run the event was withdrawn and the plug was pulled.
We would like to thank the Pembrey staff for all their work in trying to get this event to happen and we are looking forward to our visit to Pembrey next year, hopefully in happier times. Pembrey have said that any entries for the Friday Test Day will be refunded in due course.
Originally set to run behind closed doors without spectators, the decision to cancel the event has been a necessary one in the interest of safety, although it has not been taken lightly.
Due to the recent lockdown restrictions that have been imposed around areas of the United Kingdom to combat the spread of coronavirus, Pembrey and the CRMC have been in regular discussions regarding the event and have come to collective decision to cancel the two-day meeting.
Phil Davies, Pembrey Circuit Manager, said: "We are extremely disappointed to have to postpone the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club's annual visit to Pembrey this year.
"Along with the CRMC, we looked at all options regarding running the event however given how fluid the situation is regarding restrictions around the country it made sense to sadly cancel the meeting."
All advance ticket holders for this event will be refunded in due course.
We appreciate the disappointment that this will cause to our loyal supporters, but we are grateful for your understanding at this difficult time and look forward to welcoming you back to Pembrey again very soon.
