Cadwell Park often seems to have it's own little micro-climate, but this time the forecast was right - it was wet, wet ,wet on Saturday. Testing all the riders' wet-weather skills to the maximum, it certainly showed the wet-riding skills of the best riders, with some big winning margins and impressive wet-weather lap times. Despite the conditions, the track remained ride-able all day but there were inevitably a few slips, spills and stoppages that meant 4 races and the ACU Post Classic Qualifying were carried over to Sunday.
The good weather, grippy track and formidable field of quick riders brought really fast, close and competitive racing on Sunday. Conditions on Sunday were good and perhaps after the frustration of the rainy Saturday, the pace was really quick and several long-standing Cadwell Park lap-records were broken.
We wish a speedy recovery to all the riders who tumbled and thanks to everyone for entering and of course to all the hard-working officials and marshals who made it possible.
We are now looking forward to doing it all again (well, hopefully not the wet bit!) at the next CRMC event racing at Anglesey on 6 - 7 July
