Better Meeting Planning - and How You Can Help
Posted on 9th May 2025 at 19:03
Planning what machines race with what is an increasingly complex task, particularly as we welcome new classes and work to integrate them with established classes. This has always been a difficult task and perhaps because we now accept online entries, which avoids any postal delays, many people leave it very late to enter.
Please Get Your Entries In Early (and avoid the Late Entry Fee)
A message from Andy Pike, CRMC Chairman on behalf of the CRMC Committee:
"As you all perhaps realise, the formatting and programming of our race meetings is becoming an increasingly formidable task for those involved in the process. Our meetings are organised and run exceptionally well, but as time goes on, the number of classes and significant difference in machine performance make scheduling the program a fine balancing act. This is not helped by an increasing number of late entries, which hamstring the planners when scheduling.
It would be really helpful to this process if members would enter a meeting as soon as possible after entries are open, thereby giving us a better idea of numbers for each class. For example, going forward, we would very much like to be in a position to separate the Superstock/Supersport 400’s from the Supersport 600’s and the 750 Superbikes race, but thus far that plan has been hampered by insufficient entries having been received before planning takes place.
We'd also like to remind you that the entry fees are not taken from your accounts until the week preceding an event and also that in future, late entries will incur a £30 premium.
For example, our next meeting is at Cadwell Park on 7-8 June 2025, so entries will close on Monday 26 May 2025 and entry fees will be collected the following Friday, 30 May 2025. A late entry fee of £30 will be charged on all entries received after Monday 26th May.
With your help in getting your entries in earlier, we can plan the meeting better!
Andy Pike, CRMC Chairman"
