Matthew Morgan had a serious accident at Darley Moor on Sunday - but he's ok and his family wanted to send a message of thanks to all well wishers
Matthew was racing in Race 33, the Post Classic Superstock 400 race at Darley Moor on Sunday, 7 September 2025 when he crashed into the tyre wall at the end of the Pope Straight. Many people were shocked by the ferocity of the accident but fortunately, after being assessed by the medical team at Darley Moor, he was taken to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he was admitted overnight and has been released today, "a bit sore and with four compressed vertebrae".

Matthew's father Dean Edwards has asked us to pass on his thanks to all the medics, marshals and our CRMC officials for looking after Matthew & keeping the family and Matthew's girlfriend Sophie informed and updated whilst they waited to hear about his injuries, saying it made things easier. Incident Officer Megan Ireland was also praised for being "really good and calm". Matthew is apparently already talking about racing next season!

We are all really pleased to share this good news! Get well soon Matthew!
