19 years ago I rocked up at Anglesey to support my best friend racing his Triple for the first time, I never imagined CRMC would become such a big part of my life.

About 12 years ago, having watched and loved MT125r racing I started racing my own MT (all Jerry’s fault!). I bought my dream bike Seeley G50 about 5 years ago and financial ruin started. I now race a ZXR400 when the Seeley is broken.

I really enjoy supporting the club as a tech scrutineer and love the family atmosphere within the CRMC.

For the last couple of years I have been riders’ rep on the CRMC committee, trying to keep in touch with what’s going on in the paddock, and liaising with injured riders after the meetings. I put myself forward for another term on the CRMC committee,

Thanks, Gavin

How those three years have flown!
I’ve been around the CRMC paddock for over 22 years now – first as a marshal, then as Clerk of the Course for the last eight, and more recently as Vice Chair, Circuit Negotiator, Social Media Manager, and the club’s ACU Road Race Commission Representative. It’s fair to say the CRMC has been a big part of my life, and I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come.
Over the past few years, I’ve focused on making our race meetings smoother, fairer, and more enjoyable for everyone – from the competitors on track to the marshals and officials who make it all happen. We’ve introduced new processes in Race Control, built a great team, and really sharpened how we run our meetings. The aim has always been simple: to give riders the best possible experience.
One of the biggest wins recently has been increasing track time for competitors. We’ve worked hard to cut down on carried-over races and reduce the need to shorten races. The result? More laps, more racing, and happier riders – which is exactly what the CRMC should be about.
I’ve also continued to represent the club at the ACU, making sure the voice of classic and post-classic racing is heard loud and clear, and that our sport keeps moving forward while staying true to its roots.
Looking ahead, I want to keep building on that momentum – continuing to improve competitor experience, strengthening our marshal and medical teams, and keeping the CRMC at the forefront of how a racing club should be run.
Thanks for all the support over the years – I’d love the chance to carry on the work and keep pushing the club forward.
Cheers,
Ben

Steve Reilly

Hi all I volunteered to pick up the Sidecar Eligibility role in 2024 when my colleague and friend Ian Johnson had to step down due to health issues. Like all of the classic grids the sidecars were suffering with low to very low numbers so started my mission to build the grids, for this race season I was co-opted onto the committee to carry on as sidecar eligibility officer and after lots of walking, talking, emailing, Whatsapp and telephone calls the low grid numbers started to rise and the grid was built back up to 16 sidecars at Darley and then 20 at Brands Hatch (we ended up with 18 racing). I would like to carry on in this role to keep building and developing the classic sidecar grid to produce good grid numbers and quality racing through the sidecar groups.

I have three sons who have all raced sidecars and solo machines with the club and still do, my first race with the club was in 1988 so I have seen lots of changes and have a pretty good knowledge of classic sidecars.
Thank you
Steve.

Andy Reynolds

I'm Andy Reynolds.
I've been a CRMC member for 25 years plus.
I road raced, mainly classic bikes, on short and real road race circuits for many years.
I have numerous Manx Grand Prix replicas and have competed at circuits all over Ireland and Europe including two TT's.
I now sponsor a rider on my own TZ Yamaha.
I am currently a deputy Chief Tech for the CRMC and Chief Motorcycle Scrutineer for the two race meetings held at Goodwood each year. The Revival and the Members Meeting.
I am membership secretary and eligibility registrar for the Lansdowne Classic Series. I raced a Manx Norton in this series for more than ten years.
My primary interests are in 'real' classic bikes (which I would hope to promote) and classic racing in general.

Thanks, Andy

June Morris

It is with great pleasure, that I put my name forward for CRMC Committee.
I have been attending CRMC Race Meetings since 2002, and during that time, I’ve only missed a couple times! I began my journey with the CRMC, accompanying my husband Pete Morris, when he was racing his Yamaha TZ350 with the Club. When he retired from the sport, we both kept a hand-in at the meetings. Pete went on to become the official CRMC Photographer, and I became a Marshal, until I was asked to do call-up at the meetings. During that time, I was also asked if I’d like to become the Incident Officer, to which I agreed and carried out the training, but sadly it wasn’t to be, due to circumstances beyond my control. Shortly after that time, I joined the Race Office Team.
My CRMC journey has been one which I have enjoyed immensely. I have learnt a lot over the years, from my various roles within the Club and from my fellow Members, who have generously shared their knowledge and experience.
As a little background to my career history, I worked in the Education Industry for many years, as a Business Manager, which lead me into where I am at the moment, a Community Project Manager working for an Education Group.
With regards to Voluntary Roles, apart from my positions with the CRMC, I spent a few years as a Special Constable, which I enjoyed very much and found it extremely worthwhile! I’ve been Secretary, Treasurer and Chairperson of a Parent Teachers Association, and also carried out three terms as a Governor of two Primary Schools.
Going forward, I would be delighted to lend a helping hand to the CRMC, by joining the committee and I would very much like to be part of the next stage of the CRMC journey.
I believe my experience of business insights, knowledge of the Club as a proactive attendee, my time in the Police Force and previous experience from sitting on other Committee Boards, will help me in the role of CRMC Committee Member.
I feel that I have many qualities to offer the committee. Along with my experience, I am loyal, reliable and trustworthy. I demonstrate confidentiality at all times, I possess good listening, communication & interpersonal skills, I am a team player, with a flexible approach and have a good sense of humour.

Thank you,
June Morris
