After the sad end of the 2017 race season, the final CRMC Championship Results have been published

All the final results have been compiled and the CRMC Championships have been completed and are published on the Results page

The dreadfully sad accident at Brands Hatch curtailed the racing on Saturday so it was only possible to complete one of the planned two championship races. Regrettably, a separate incident on Sunday meant that racing on Sunday was abandoned after lunch before the usually prestigious Races of the Year series.

Two notable results to highlight are Fran Fletcher's 3rd place in the 4b Classic Over 55's championship, as Peter Heartfield declined to take the points in the re-run race after Fran's tragic accident. Thank you Peter, that is a fine gesture.
It is also good to see that Nigel Hall-Smith has indeed clinched the 7a Classic 201cc - 1300cc Clubman Twins championship, so we'll let him know the good news.

Wendy and I count ourseves very blessed to have known Fran and are very saddened by her death. Fran's zest for racing and life in general were admirable. Farn (& Dick) were always welcoming; and we enjoyed and appreciated her hospitality. We will miss Fran's presence, her laugh and her hugs freely given. Indeed my last memory of Fran will be the hug we had on Saturday morning, and watching her riding in practice.
We extend our deepest condolances to Dick and Fran's wider family, many of whom we have met at Cadwell Park. So sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you all and we trust you will find solace in Fran's many achievements .
With love and sympathy
Andreas & Wendy Jelden
Rest in peace Fran - and light up that great racetrack in the sky as you have lighted up our lives.
