CRMC haven't been to Mallory since 2012, and then that included the unloved 'Edwina Chicane', but this time, the CRMC requested permission from the ACU to allow us to race without it...so, a whole new set of lap records to come...! And some good, fast racing at Mallory Park!
No Edwina chicane at Mallory for the CRMC
Wet CRMC Mallory

Although we had some heavy rain on Saturday, we are pleased to say there were relatively few crashes and without the now infamous Edwina's chicane, there was a significant improvement in spills and downtime.

Winner George Hogton-Rusling receives the Charlie Sanby Trophy at CRMC Mallory
With a packed program but few stoppages, the whole race program was completed on both days.

A highlight for many was the Charlie Sanby race on Saturday, when it rained heavily and despite a lot of standing weater on the track, the race winner George Hogton-Rusling proved his skill in the tricky conditions on his Yamaha TZ350, hotly pursued by the equally (albeit slightly slower) Ant Hart, also mounted on his fast TZ350 and Lee Hodge, who had perhaps wisely chosen to switch his original entry from his fearsome Minnovation Yamaha TZ750 to the super fast but more forgiving Minnovation Matchless G50.

Despite the wet track, the pace was hot!
CRMC Mallory - fast in the wet!!
MyLaps race results have now been published and the latest Championship results will be published shortly and we will update this post when done. And those new lap records - without the Edwina's Chicance - will follow soon!

And so far, what is the the overriding opinion and feedback about Mallory Park? Well, we think we will be back! but please let us know what you think using the Comments Section below

A stupendous weekend. Great track without the damned Edwina's, great racing, great spectacle, great café, great fun. You've got to love it.

I attended on the Sunday and thought it was an excellent meeting with some superb racing. I especially enjoyed the 2 125cc races which was close racing at its best. Hopefully you will return to the venue again next year.
