A WARM WELCOME FROM THE CHAIRMAN.

 I am very pleased to have the opportunity to welcome you to the website of the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club, CRMC for short, or as many just say The Classic Club.

If you have just stumbled upon us you may well be surprised to learn how big classic racing is and how long we have been going. Elsewhere you will find the history of how it all started a third of a century ago, the periods of bikes we cover and the many ways virtually anyone can get involved.

If you think you are too old or too young think again, our oldest competitors are 70+ and the youngest are in their early teens! We welcome a large number of new members each year and the influx of new blood helps refresh what we do.

Our core business is racing bikes at the top circuits of the UK at about 8 meetings per year. At each meeting we also have 2 parades a day for those who do not wish to compete but still want to get on the track without the need to get a racing licence etc. At most lunchtimes we also run spectator parades so there is a way for all to get out on the circuit if they so wish. The paddock area is free to enter at all meetings so you can get close to the bikes and riders who will be happy to talk to you. I guarantee you will be amazed at the range and quality of bikes you will see, many of which lap the circuits at speeds which stun modern racers.

We are always surprised by the numbers of bikes which are still being brought out again for us all to enjoy, so if you may have forgotten something you parked in the corner of your shed years ago now is the time to go and have a look! You may even wish to get it out on track and you will be surprised how easy that is to do. We offer all the advice and help you need to come and enjoy yourself be it racing, parading or activities such as marshalling and other organizational duties.

Don’t forget this is not just a man thing as it generally was in the old days, we have many lady competitors and officials and a social side which is just as enjoyable as the competition element.

However, be warned it does become addictive and it is easy to get hooked!
