2010 ACU UK Classic Championship Conditions
This Championship is organised by the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club Ltd and run under ACU rules.

Open to pre 1973 four stroke machines and pre 1968 two strokes up to 500cc compliant with CRMC
eligibility rules. Other machines may be submitted to Gordon Russell (Tel 01953 850677) for consideration.
All Group 1 machines must only be fitted with CRMC eligible drum brakes. Group two machines may use a
CRMC eligible disc brake, but will only score half points and receive half scale prize money.
All machines will be weighed immediately after the race and held in
parc ferme until releasedapproximately five minutes after the last machine has been weighed. A minimum, post race, machine
weight limit will apply to be classified as a finisher.
The weight limits are:
500cc machines – 115kg with a 10kg allowance for push rod engine machines and machines under 460cc.
350cc machines – 100kg with a 5kg allowance for push rod engine machines.
Failure to attend the
parc ferme weighing will result in disqualification from the results.NOTE: Free pre‐race weighing facilities will be available at all rounds of the ACU UK Classic Championship.
There is zero tolerance on the engine capacity limits of 350cc and 500cc.
The interpretation of the CRMC machine eligibility rules is entirely the province of the CRMC management
committee.
Sec 7 ‐ Awards

First eight classified finishers in each round to receive prize money awards on scale:1
st £500, 2nd £250, 3rd £100, 4th £50, 5th £35, 6th £30, 7th £25, 8th £20Note ‐ Prize Money subject to receipt from Sponsors.

First three classified finishers to be garlanded on the podium and receive trophies.·
First 3 classified finishers in each round on 350cc machines to receive cash awards of £100, £50,and £25 respectively.

The first three classified finishers in each round, aged 55yrs or more on 1st January 2010, to receivetrophies.
·
The highest placed rider in the Championship, aged 55 yrs or over on 1st Jan 2010, to receive theClassic Past Masters Trophy.
·
The first three in the Championship will receive cash awards of £1000, £500 and £250 respectively.·
The 2010 Champion will be invited to the ACU presentation night to receive the ChampionshipTrophy.
Sec 8 & 11 ‐ Qualifying and Races
A dedicated timed qualifying session will determine grid positions for both rounds of the Championship,
irrespective of machine capacity. The organisers reserve the right to seed through riders to the race, and
apply maximum qualifying times. Two rounds of the series are scheduled for each meeting, to be held over
a race distance between 35km and 50km.
Sec 15 ‐ Fuel
Random fuel tests will be made during the season to check the legality of fuel used by competitors.
Competitors and/or entrants must ensure that 2 litres of fuel remain in their machine at the end of the race
in order that samples may be taken. Failure to ensure sufficient fuel for testing, or failing the fuel test, will
results in disqualification from the results and loss of all points scored in previous rounds. Additives to
protect valve seats as listed by the FBHVC are permitted (see www.fbhvc.co.uk ) provided any octane
increase does not exceed 102 RON. For further clarification consult the organisers
The use of E85 Bio fuel is not permitted.
DECALS:
As an official ACU Championship all machines must display an official ACU Decal (ACU handbook P260) on
the front number plate plus any other decal/s issued by the organisers citing official Championship
sponsors. Machines not displaying such decals will
not gain any championship points. Decal packs will beissued by the organisers
.Championship Details
The Championship will be raced over an eight round series to determine the 2010 ACU UK Classic
Champion.

STANDARD of PREPARATION:
In addition to being CRMC eligible competitors and / or entrants are expected to prepare their machines to
a high standard and make sure they are in keeping with the Classic period.
PROTESTS:
Any protests must be carried out as per instructions in the ACU handbook with the following exception ‐
the organisers reserve the right to order measurement of any machine competing in these races without
reimbursement of the costs involved.
SANCTIONS:
If a machine is found to be underweight at post race weighing then the rider will not receive any points or
awards for that race (also see paragraph 1 above – ‘Failure to attend …’)
If a machine is found to be oversize then all championship points and prizes gained will be forfeit
If a machine fails a fuel test then all championship points and prizes gained will be forfeit
In the case of eligibility infringements the CRMC management committee or eligibility sub‐committee may
apply any sanction they see fit involving points loss, award loss or future entry acceptance for the ACU UK
Classic Championship.
